We began in 1989 as Total Health Center with Tamy and the kids doing business in our family farm house delivering quality groceries to Ritzville Washington. We had our first natural food store front a couple of years later supplying the whole foods that we and our farm neighbors couldn’t find locally. A few years later we moved to Spokane Washington and were able to carry and supply ourselves and our city neighbors with a wider selection of natural foods, herbs, supplements, body care and household items. Tamy completed her midwifery training and was licensed by the State of Washington and certified by The North American Registry of Midwives. Our store increased its efforts to meet pregnant and new mother needs as well as to specialize in the highest quality childcare products. In 2004 our oldest child Melissa had a lovely waterbirth of her son Eddie and so Total Health Center entered a new phase and began to carry organic baby clothes, organic & wood toys and attachment parenting products. As we near our 20th anniversary we have morphed one more time and are dedicated to emphasizing sales of quality certified organic as well as the highest of quality natural products. We consider it in-part a memorial to our mothers/grandmothers who both died in 2006, one of brain cancer and one of Alzheimer’s. In 2006 we changed our name to THC Organic Market and moved our store and ourselves to the clean air of the Pacific Ocean in Long Beach, Washington You'll find us in the southwest corner of Washington State where our store is truly only a short walk to the beach. In 2007 our youngest child Lydia married Josh and had a wonderful homebirth here at the beach. She now has joined as at the store with her daughter Eyonna. Lydia has brought expanded food service to our market with fresh soups and sandwiches made with organic ingredients. Life is good at the beach!
